Alberto Del Rio is a surprising entry in between the likes of Chris Jericho, The Undertaker or Daniel Bryan. No one has ever denied his in-ring abilities, but at the same time, he never really managed to become one of the company's main men even in a time when competition wasn't exactly "ruthless". And despite his main event runs and decent matches, it's unlikely he would feature in many people's personal top 100 best wrestlers of all time.

It's clear other companies tried to eat off his WWE fame, with his Impact, CMLL and AAA championship wins all coming after his time in Stamford. He's currently trying to get his Nación Lucha Libre promotion underway, but it's gonna take more than main events featuring MVP.

Time will tell but, as of now, it would be very generous to call Del Rio a legend.
