In some fantastic news, 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan has announced that he is now cancer-free.

The legendary Duggan revealed in October that he had prostate cancer, for which he had surgery for. While there were some positive updates shortly after that surgery, the WWE Hall of Famer has now confirmed that further tests have shown no signs of cancer.

Hacksaw took to Twitter to deliver this great news.

Trained by Fritz Von Erich, Duggan entered the wrestling business in 1979. Initially impressing in Georgia Championship Wrestling, it was in Mid-South where the former football standout really made his mark.

Following famed rivalries with Butch Reed, Magnum T.A., Junkyard Dog and Ted DiBiase, the powerhouse was one of the many who made their way to Vince McMahon's ever-expanding World Wrestling Federation in the mid-'80s, arriving shortly before WrestleMania III.

Most notably during his WWF tenure, Hacksaw was the winner of the inaugural Royal Rumble match in 1988. He'd remain with the promotion through until 1994, where he'd then move over to WCW and remain there until the company folded in 2001.

In the years since then, Duggan worked the independent scenes, did some shots for TNA, continues to make sporadic WWE appearances, and is always a popular figure on the convention circuit.
