WWE: 10 Awesome Wrestling Reunions

1. "Macho Man" Randy Savage And Miss Elizabeth (1991)

In 1989, Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth split on television in relation to Savage's heel turn. It appeared to be the end of wrestling's first couple, especially as heel Savage ran rampant over the course of two years. One of the most hated villains in wrestling, Savage was booked in a Retirement match against The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania VII. A marquee match on that year's show, much was expected from the former WWE champions. They delivered, producing one of the greatest wrestling matches in event history. When Warrior pinned Savage, Sensational Queen Sherri entered the ring and berated her charge. She assaulted Savage, kicking his injured ribs as the crowd in Los Angeles rained down on her with a chorus of boos. Suddenly, Miss Elizabeth hit the ring and cleared Sherri from the ring. She showed great concern for Savage, who tried to bat her away. When he realized who it was that was sharing the ring with him, the greatest reunion in wrestling history occurred. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lu5Zi2HuBww Savage and Elizabeth embraced and shared a very special moment together to the delight of the audience. Tears were spilled both in the ring among the performers and in the crowd by men and women alike. It was a moment that reminded fans of just how special wrestling can be when emotions are allowed to play a role in the proceedings. A moment and reunion that has yet to be topped.
