http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDXa4yxJZ80 Once again it's a case of, how could this not have been a classic? Benoit and Guerrero were the two best wrestlers in the company. That coupled with their intense friendship always meant that they put on a show. This is their best encounter. Just brilliant. The crowd was split. When you consider that during the build up Guerrero blinded Benoit, that takes some doing. Guerrero was incredibly charismatic and likeable, naturally. A fantastic all-rounder. He could do it all. The match had a nice pace to it. It built logically, always gaining momentum. The two, of course, worked good and stiff. It's Benoit after all. It's strange to watch any of his matches knowing his ring style deadened his brain and possibly contributed to the whole murder-suicide thing... Best to ignore... Easier to admire match. Guerrero's victory made him US champion for the first and only time. Yay!
