WWE: 10 Best Ladder Matches Ever

2. The Hardy Boyz vs. Edge and Christian vs. The Dudley Boyz Trilogy - WrestleMania 2000, SummerSlam 2000 and WrestleMania X-Seven

But when three teams are responsible for a trilogy of matches so revolutionary, so definitive of an era as the Triangle Ladder match, TLC I and TLC II were, it is difficult to point at one and say, "that one is better" or "that one is the best." Especially when all three are as great as they were. The Triangle Ladder match from WrestleMania 2000 saw three teams motivated to steal the show on the biggest show possible. They introduced new elements to the groundwork that Edge and Christian and the Hardys laid back at No Mercy in October of 1999 and added chairs and tables to the mix. Doing so would set the stage for the Tables, Ladders and Chairs matches that would occur between the two teams over the course of the next year. It was Jeff Hardy's leap of faith, a Swanton Bomb from the top of a 20 foot ladder, that garnered the most attention despite Edge and Christian capturing their first tag team titles in front of a raucous Anaheim crowd. At SummerSlam the following August, Edge and Christian would once again emerge as tag champions. The match featured all three teams doing everything in their power to build upon and better what they did four months earlier. They attempted to top the previous match with incredibly dangerous spots, including one that saw D'Von Dudley and Christian hanging from the rigging that secured the titles in place. Dudley's fear of heights only made the spot that much more impressive. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xzgssz_summerslam-2000-edge-christian-vs-dudley-boyz-vs-hardy-boyz-tlc-match-for-the-wwf-tag-team-champions_sport WrestleMania X-Seven, in many ways, was the culmination of the three-team feud and featured interference from Lita, Rhyno and Spike Dudley. The involvement of those three stars meant that new spots could be devised and added to the death-defying sequences that had made the TLC match as popular and unpredictable as it had become. For the third straight time, Edge and Christian left with the tag titles in their grasps but all three teams had become immortalized. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x115634_tag-team-championship-wm-17-tlc-match-edge-and-christian-vs-the-dudley-boyz-vs-the-hardy-boyz_sport To this day, the three matches competed in by those teams remain the standard for all Tables, Ladders and Chairs match competitors to live up to.
