9. WWF Championship "Winged Eagle" Title Belt
Seriously, who doesn't like this belt? When I think of wrestling title, this is the belt I instantly think of. This belt was pretty much perfect. It looked like a belt that the top guy in the company would be happy to have around his waist. Grant and golden, with an eagle. That's basically how I'd describe the title. The Winged Eagle was introduced in 1988, and the first wrestler to hold this title was the immortal Hulk Hogan. However, the night he was given the belt, he lost it to Andre the Giant, making him the first wrestler to win this belt. The guys I associate this belt with though are Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels, my reasoning is, Winged Eagle = Hart/Michaels.
While this belt was used, it was different, unique. The Intercontinental title was very much rectangular shape, and the Tag Titles were rounded squares basically. This title was round, had wings coming out of it, and they rounded bits at the side, like it was holding it up from the leather strap. It was really nice is basically what I'm saying. However, this belt was used up until 1998, giving it an 10 year span. Many different wrestlers held the Winged Eagle title, and Stone Cold Steve Austin was the last to hold it. That gave way to a new title belt, one which does appear in this list.
