Dean Ambrose is a consistently reliable in ring worker, also effective on the microphone and character work. However, he's been overshadowed by the emergence of Roman Reigns and sheer athleticism of Seth Rollins in the last few months. We once looked upon Ambrose as the future star of The Shield but it's hard to look past Reigns or Rollins nowadays. Not to take anything away from Ambrose. As part of The Shield he has always been featured prominently on Raw, more often than not in main events. He had the US Title for a very long period, although it meant almost nothing. When it comes to wrestling he consistently gets in there and puts on an athletic performance, reliable in both execution and selling of moves. The highlight of his year has to be the thrilling Shield vs Wyatt Family match from Elimination Chamber. It was truly epic, a true contender for match of the year, filled with high spots and exciting exchanges. WWE know that if they need a performer to count on, Dean Ambrose is always going to be a reliable choice.
