This was something that Punk confessed to during a Q n A session with the fans during the Philadelphia Comic Con. Kofi Kingston became Punks road wife back when they used to travel together, and according to Punk, the duo often used to get into trouble with the authority, not because of doing something wrong, but because of the way they looked. With Punk covered in tattoos and Kofi being an African American, in Punks words, they looked like a couple of meth dealers. One time, an officer pulled Punk and Kofi over and asked Kofi to step out. Kofi obliged, and that resulted in Kofi getting handcuffed. Apparently, there were 4 squad cars and 2 state troopers, and other officers were on their way. The cop asked Punk to step out as well, and Punk refused initially, but ended up getting out and getting handcuffed as well. After dismantling their car, the cops once again asked Punk if there was anything illegal they were carrying. Punk lost it and he let them have it.
