Her main work in WWE saw her feuding with Sable as the heel valet of Marc Mero, who was actually Sable's husband at the time. They needed a woman to feud with Sable that had the experience to help her get through matches and Jackie was the right one for her that job. Prior to her WWE run, she also worked in WCW. The historical fact involving Jackie is that she's the woman that won the Women's Title when WWE brought it back in September of 1998 before she eventually dropped it to Sable. It's not like the division was great at the time, but a legitimately tough wrestler like Jackie certainly gave it some credibility right away. She also had her top removed in a tag match in the UK that was taped for PPV over there that also involved Sable, so it showed she would do just about anything in wrestling.
