3. Scaffold Match
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvxiLLzLDZI Maybe the most famous scaffold match isn't associated with ECW, but with the NWA (The Road Warriors vs The Midnight Express at Starrcade) but ECW did have a couple of scaffold matches and as always, they took it to the extreme. In the scaffold match, over the ring is a scaffolding (hence the name) and your objective if you want to win is to push your opponent off it. At High Incident in 1996 Tommy Dreamer took on Brian Lee in a bloody and brutal brawl which ended by Dreamer throwing Lee of the scaffold through several tables. Dreamer posed on top of the scaffold while the fans chanted ECW. If you were to modernize it? Looking at TNA they have mixed the scaffold match with a ladder match and came up with Ultimate X and I think WWE could do something similar for their high flyers. Maybe it doesn't have to be as violent and brutal but a unique concept could bring the scaffold match back to the forefront of pro wrestling without the violent stigma.
