8. Choking Out Kurt Angle

One of the few men who is undoubtedly tougher than Undertaker is Kurt Angle. Still, that didn't stop Calaway choking out Angle for real way back in the Attitude Era. The incident is recounted in Kurt's book "It's True, It's True", detailing how a game with Vince McMahon got out of hand. The boss and the Olympian had been horsing around for weeks, the highlight for Vince being a takedown he'd sprung on an unsuspecting Kurt. It was all good-natured of course, but Vince wouldn't let Angle forget that he was the only man in the WWE to take him down, and Kurt wanted revenge. The moment came during a plane ride, the cat-like Kurt pouncing on Vince in the aisle. McMahon wouldn't let this slide. The boss spent the rest of the plane ride waiting to jump Kurt back, eventually spilling onto Kurt in another play scuffle. The problem was, Undertaker was sleeping, and the grumpy giant was awoken from his slumber to find his boss seemingly getting beat up by Angle. Right away Taker went over and slapped a choke hold on Kurt. By all accounts, Angle was halfway to passing out before a laughing McMahon called him off. The incident was playful for sure, but it does illustrate how Undertaker is a fearsome man to be on the wrong side of. The protection of McMahon is also interesting, telling us quite a bit about the relationship between Vince and Taker. There is a huge respect between the pair, a father-son dynamic almost in play over the 20 year friendship.
