WWE: 10 Great Things Missing From WrestleMania 30

1. There's No Dream Matches

How many years have fans have waited to see John Cena and Bray Wyatt finally lock horns? Who could barely stand the anticipation of seeing Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar again? And who longed for The Usos finally having a showdown with RybAxel? Well, besides Taker vs. Lesnar, HHH vs. Daniel Bryan, and Wyatt vs. Cena, every match feels like it could just as easily belong on Main Event. It's a shame, as WrestleMania XXX is lacking a true marquee match. And that's what makes WrestleMania the huge event that it is: two men fighting for the first time, or in a match that has been effectively built for months or years. But there's no Rock vs. John Cena, Hulk Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior, or Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels. There's no big match that fans have dreamed of for years. WWE may think that Brock vs. Taker is a huge draw, but it seems fans aren't overly excited about it. It feels a few years too late. A match like Sting vs. Taker would have been a true dream match, as it's never happened before. Or Hogan vs. Cena would have fit that bill, or Steve Austin returning to take on anyone. But the current roster is overexposed, and no legends are returning for a showdown. And besides, Brock and Taker we've seen multiple times in the past. Bryan vs. Hunter was only booked because CM Punk left the company, and Bray Wyatt hasn't been on the roster long enough, or picked up the wins to justify his top spot. Everything feels tossed together. Until the Royal Rumble, fans were hoping for a huge WrestleMania with someone like Sting finally joining the company, or getting the inevitable Taker vs. Cena match. We wanted something huge. Instead, things feel pretty plain. That's not what WrestleMania should be. Sadly, we may have to wait for the 31st edition of the event to see our next dream match.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
