WWE: 10 Greatest Ever Elimination Chamber Moments

1. HBK Wins The First Elimination Chamber Match - Survivor Series 2002

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1bwH5M0LGk The fact that for four years, Shawn Michaels had been retired from in-ring competition due to a serious back injury, meant that his 2002 comeback was even more impressive. After returning to in-ring action at Summerslam 2002 after a vicious feud with Triple H, Michaels found himself challenging for World glory again inside the spiritual home of Wrestling; Madison Square Garden. The first ever Elimination Chamber saw HBK face off against The Game, Kane, Chris Jericho, Rob Van Dam and Booker T. Michaels had the upper hand immediately, entering the match last. His first major contribution was to help eliminate Kane, hitting him with Sweet Chin Music before he was eventually pinned by Chris Jericho. Jericho would not be so lucky minutes later though, as he was the victim of Michaels' Superkick, leaving just HBK and Triple H. The pair traded assaults for close to ten minutes, until Michaels made the vital breakthrough. Hitting Triple H with Sweet Chin Music, HBK pinned his one time friend to win his first World Heavyweight Championship. The image of Shawn Michaels with the World Heavyweight Championship draped over his left shoulder, with ticker tape falling into the ring around him was one of the most iconic of this century so far, and was a fitting way for Michaels to win his final World championship. It also showed the world that despite a four year absence, HBK still had the necessary attributes to be one of the best performers in the world. For it's historical importance, and the fact it brought Shawn Michaels back to the main event scene, there is no better moment than this to be crowned number one.
