9. The Extreme Elimination Chamber - December to Dismember 2006
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzGAc0QWv1U December to Dismember will never be viewed as WWE's greatest triumph. In fact, the only WWE PPV to be held under the ECW banner is, arguably, the most disappointing WWE event of all time. The main event of the evening was the first ever Extreme Elimination Chamber. And the concept itself was good; the four men in the chamber pods would have their own weapon that they would introduce to the match. But things never really got going. A clash between Paul Heyman and Vince McMahon before the PPV saw Heyman sent home, and Vince's idea for the match pushed through. The Big Show entered the match as the ECW Champion, and was challenged by Hardcore Holly, RVD, CM Punk, Test and Bobby Lashley, with Lashley widely expected to walk away from the match as the new ECW Champion. As he did in the first ever Chamber match, RVD started the match, this time joined by Hardcore Holly. As time went on, they were joined by Test and CM Punk, who was the first man eliminated from the match after a Five Star Frog Splash from Van Dam. After Holly and Van Dam were eliminated by Test. When Lashley was due to enter the match, Paul Heyman's security force ran to ringside and prevented him from leaving his pod. Forgetting that the Chamber and Pods were meant to be made of steel chain and bullet-proof glass, Bobby Lashley proceeded to break out of his pod with the help of his trusty table, the weapon placed inside his pod. After eliminating Test shortly afterwards with a shot to the gut with a crowbar and a Spear, it was down to two men. The Big Show came out of his pod with a barbed wire Baseball bat, forcing Lashley to take cover with a steel chair. After a few minutes of back and forth assaults, Lashley took the upper hand. Forcing the champion against the ropes, he hit a spear on The Big Show, pinning the champion, and becoming the ECW Champion. Surprisingly, the era of WWE-led ECW PPV's ended after December to Dismember, and we never had the 'pleasure' of seeing an Extreme Elimination Chamber again.
