WWE: 10 Greatest Raw Episodes

There have nearly been 1,100 episodes of Monday Night Raw. That's an incredible number by any standard. WWE often likes to brag about how they've outlasted long-running network shows like The Simpsons or Gunsmoke. While it's not exactly a fair comparison, it's still amazing to think that the show has been on this long. After so much time, you'd think that it would would be winding down. However, Raw is undoubtedly still going strong. And with the launch of the WWE Network, and the potential to double their TV rights fees in the near future, WWE's flagship show may actually be stronger than ever. During the course of that 20 plus years since the show debuted, we've gone through a lot of changes. The show has struggled at times, suffered through creative droughts, some growing pains, and had to adapt to keep with the times. Through it all, the show has remained resilient. We've seen Raw survive the steroid trials in its early years. We saw it fight off the very real threat of a rival company putting them out of business. And we saw it change from a kids show, to an edgy show for adults, and back again. It's been a fascinating ride. Of course, we've seen some terrible episodes, quite a few mediocre shows and a few great ones. But which ones are the best of the best? With so many characters, matches and story arcs throughout the programs history, that's an epic task to undertake. It's time to sort it out, as we look back over these past two decades, and find out the ten episodes of Monday Night Raw that reign supreme.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
