WWE: 10 Greatest Ring Technicians Of All Time

6. Daniel Bryan

daniel bran Does he deserve to be in the top ten? Yes! Yes! Yes! And who knows, within time he may be remembered as the greatest of all time. He certainly has the ability to go much further in his career. The American Dragon was trained by Shawn Michaels, and it€™s just a shame that by the time Bryan was called up to the main roster was around the same time that HBK was taking his final bow away from in ring competition, robbing the world of what would have been a compelling match up. After his training he got the opportunity to train in the WWE developmental system, but he wouldn€™t make it to the main roster for many years. Whilst Bryan may have preferred a quicker path to the big league, his experience wrestling around the world in Japan and Europe surely helped shape him into the performer he is today. He was the final man to win the ROH Pure Championship, retiring the belt as he was also ROH World Champion at the time. It€™s fitting then that he has proved to be one of the most pure wrestlers currently in the industry. Upon his debut in NXT he was given the Miz as a mentor, which to many seemed crazy considering Bryan is a thousand times in the wrestler Miz is. This turned out to be a stroke of genius as it gave Bryan an instant feud and further got the fans who knew to tout how good Bryan was in the ring. Being the underdog has proved to be a theme of his career as the WWE Universe quickly got behind him to support his rehiring after he was let go following his act of (worked) strangulation on ring announcer Justin Roberts. Most recently the audience embraced his €˜Yes€™ chant as a show of support for him when it was clear they weren€™t happy with his 18 second loss to Sheamus at WrestleMania 28. They were disgusted that Bryan who they had long supported, and who is always certain to give the audience his all was relegated to such a short match on the grandest stage of them all.
