WWE: 10 Longest Tenured Employees

8. Kane

WWE Tenure: 18+ years The Undertaker has been around the WWE for a long time, but his storyline brother can also lay claim to a lengthy career. In 1995, a young Glen Jacobs debuted in the WWF as the evil Dr. Isaac Yankem. However, this evil dentist was worse than receiving an actual root canal and didn't last long. As a side note, if you plan on interviewing Kane any time soon, the best course of action is not to bring up his dentist playing days. Anyway, after failing dental school, he was lucky enough to be repackaged...but he became even more ridiculous when he was re-introduced as the fake Diesel. When Kevin Nash jumped ship for WCW, Vince McMahon wasn't ready to give up on the gimmick, so Jacobs was the unlucky one to take it. But finally, he found his footing when he was recast once more as as The Big Red Machine in 1997. It's been incredibly successful for him and the company, and he's played the role ever since. Despite being involved in some of the worst storylines of this generation, Kane remains popular. Nothing seems to be able to kill the character. At the age of 46, Kane is still pretty solid in the ring, especially for a big man. You'd have to think that retirement may not be far off, but there's no reason to believe that he won't make it to at least 20 straight years in the WWE.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
