WWE: 10 Most Memorable Midget Matches

1. The Cruiserweight Open

At The Great American Bash 2007, five cruiserweight competitors faced off against each other for the Cruiserweight Championship. Why is this match being listed as number one on the most memorable midget matches? Because once again it features one of WWE€™s favorite midget performers, Hornswoggle, and yes, he does end up winning the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. It was an upset that nobody saw coming, and the fact that a midget wrestler won a title meant for average height competitors made it a historic moment. It can also be put on record that Hornswoggle wound up being the last official Cruiserweight Champion before the title was retired. While guys like Jimmy Wang Yang, Jamie Noble, and Chavo Guerrero were pulling off all their best moves in order to win, Hornswoggle sneaked in with a tadpole splash and scored the three count. He celebrated with the title, and before the other wrestlers could get their hands on him, Hornswoggle ran under the ring and dashed to the back with the title over his head. It was shocking, it was unpredictable, and it was most certainly a highlight achievement in the world of midget wrestlers. What other midget wrestling moments can you think of that stand out as a highlight? Shout out in the comment section below.
