WWE: 10 Most Memorable Moments In Royal Rumble History

5. Kane Eliminates A Record 11 People (2001)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRrS7SyKd2E The 2001 Royal Rumble remains one of the best to date, and one of the reasons it was so awesome was Kane's unprecedented path of destruction. Bigger wrestlers have a tendency to be powerhouses in the Rumble match, usually eliminating two or three wrestlers in quick succession before the remaining entrants gang up on the wrestler and eliminate them, but Kane took this dominance to a whole new level. Kane eliminated 11 wrestlers in 2001 (Raven, Al Snow, Perry Saturn, Steve Blackman, Grand Master Sexay, The Honky Tonk Man, The Rock, Tazz, Albert, Crash Holly & Scotty 2 Hotty), which accounted for over 1/3 of the entrants, and it's been a record he's held ever since. I'd love to see Kane break the record in the future, as it was such an entertaining way to stack the odds against the other big-hitters in the Rumble like The Rock and Stone Cold. Eventually Kane would be eliminated by Stone Cold in the match-winning moment.
