WWE: 10 Most Memorable Vehicle Incidents

5. Austin Gets Run Over By A Car

"Good God Almighty, for God sakes, that car just ran over Austin!" - Jim Ross on commentary. Steve Austin was usually the one that tormented people using a vehicle, but at Survivor Series 1999 he was the victim. Austin was set to main event the show in a triple threat match involving WWE Champion Triple H and The Rock. Instead, Austin got run over by a car and was taken out of the match. I was actually at this show in Detroit and was pissed off that Austin wasn't going to be wrestling. We had no idea he would be written out. Big Show ended up taking his place and winning the WWE Title, but all we cared about was what happened to Austin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsDhe2zJ_3k The reason for the hit and run angle was because Austin had to have neck surgery, so he missed a year of action. When he came back in the fall of 2000, it was revealed that Rikishi was the one driving the car. You would think that a guy admitted on camera that he tried to kill somebody else would earn an arrest, but not in WWE. Austin also feuded with Triple H because of it since he was the one that put Rikishi up to it.
