5. Jack Lanza
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHh_CLQVNc8 When Kurt Angle first broke though in 99-2000, everyone commented on how quickly he had learned the ropes. Kurt was having the best matches in the company how was this possible? A lot of the credit must go to Jack Lanza, the WWF road agent who mostly worked with Steve Austin. Lanza was the producer for Kurt's matches, and Angle has credited Lanza as the being the biggest reason his work was so good. Such was the respect that Angle had for Lanza, he became the only road agent that he would work with for putting together matches. It speaks measures of Lanza's intelligence and ability when you consider he was the requested agent of not only Kurt, but also Steve Austin. The Texas Rattlesnake worked with Lanza to put together all his matches, the most successful bouts in wrestling history. Lanza's influence in these hugely entertaining contests that drawn outrageously good numbers deserves to be recognized. His wider influence across ring style in the company during that era also deserves praise - Edge has also cited Lanza as one of the best agents to go to for match setup. Steve Austin respected Jack Lanza so much, that upon walking out of WWE in 2002, Lanza was the only WWE employee Austin kept in touch with.
