From @tonyheyl: Who will be the next first time WWE Champion?
That's tough because there are so many worthy performers in WWE that have never been the WWE Champion before. Now that there's only one major title around, it's going to be difficult for guys to break through because we all know how much WWE loves putting guys like Cena or Orton in that spot. Here's a quick look at five names that come to mind for an answer to this one: 1. Cesaro - He's my first choice as an answer because I feel like he's a favorite for Money in the Bank because they're going to save the Roman Reigns push for early 2015 when it's time for the Royal Rumble. It makes a lot of sense if they really want to elevate him this year. Plus, Heyman would be even more irritating as a heel if he had the Money in the Bank holder by his side, which is great for everybody. 2. Bray Wyatt - The character may not "need" the WWE Title to be successful although if he continues his growth it may be difficult to not put him over for the gold at some point in the future. 3. Roman Reigns - I don't think it will be until 2015, but they may not give it to somebody new before that so that's why he's listed here. 4. Bad News Barrett - He's on the rise again, which is great to see. If this was three years ago he would have been my first choice for this question. Not sure if he's going to be a main eventer again, but he was in 2010. 5. Rusev - It seems like an outside shot although if WWE really wants to make the guy into a major player then pushing him to the top quickly might be the way to do it. Having him squash midcarders for six months isn't going to do it. There are plenty of possibilities, but those five stand out as good candidates.
