1. Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart
Probably the most famous real life wrestling rivalry involved two of the best in-ring workers of all time: Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart. They were the highlight of the show, in an era with far too many stumbling giants and not enough quality wrestling. Despite their similarities in terms of ability and stature, the two men couldn't have been more different when it came to personality. Bret was all about respect and honour. Good ol' HBK was young, brash and wild. He attracted a lot of heat from a lot of people, but most of all, from The Hitman. Their historic on-screen rivalry was getting personal enough with the shoot promos, when the infamous Montreal Screwjob gave fans something they had never seen before. In the aftermath, Bret would spit in Vince's face on television, be involved in a bust-up backstage after the show, and go on to blame Michaels for years. He never let that go. That is until the two of them happily reconciled a few years ago on Raw. I guess sometimes even the most heated feuds can be somehow be settled amicably, for the right amount of dollar. At least, that's my cynical take on the whole thing.
