4. Mick Foley vs Ric Flair
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Tb77dNBgjg This feud went in the opposite direction to most, but then again, the good ones always do. Mick Foley made some justifiable criticisms of Ric Flair's booking during the WCW days, in his first New York Times best-seller Have a Nice Day, to which the Nature Boy took great offence. He subsequently responded in his own literary endeavour, labelling the 3 time WWE Champion a "glorified stuntman". It was a famous quote that launched a thousand ships, and by that I mean led to a few great matches. Flair has a habit for taking shots at people in his books, but who doesn't? I guess Mick started this one anyway. The real life tension between the two of them made for an excellent feud. Two great talkers and two great workers showed a lot of the guys on the roster at that time how it's done. Using the very specific and very different skills that made them both Hall of Famers, they tore the house down with a couple of high-profile and bloody pay-per-view matches. They went on to do the same thing in TNA, and are now good friends. They seemed to be at the WWE 2K14 launch anyway.
