5. Gold On The Mic
The Miz is a talented talker, which is a must-have trait for a true superstar. Upon his ascent to the top, he began ranting with an intensity and pointedness that would make any old-school "talk-'em-into-the-seats" type jealous. Who can forget his promo walking from the locker room to the ring, where he called out JBL and others for disrespecting him in the early stages of his career? Or my personal favorite his brash statement the week after his WWE Championship victory, where he assured the crowd "If anyone ever says you can't do something if anyone ever says you can't live your dream believe them, because YOU can't." His catchphrases are even more memorable. Gone are the days of "Hoo-rah!" and "This is the TRUE story of when The Miz came to Smackdown!" In their stead are the ultra-interactive "Really? Really?" and multiple t-shirt spawning "Because I'm The Miz, and I'm awesome!" Some may call The Miz's repeated lines grating, but as a competitor who knows the importance of playing his role and being remembered, it's unlikely he would have it any other way.
