1. Pay Per View

The biggest reason this Network is going to be a success is down to pay per view content. Why pay $40 a month for a one off event anymore? Fans are going to flock to the Network because it gives them each months big event at a price far lower than they are used to paying. The freedom to watch these ppvs on any device and at any time you like on demand means that viewing numbers for PPV's are going to go up. It is of course a huge change from WWE's tradition of making money on pay per view sales. The fact is that PPV has been a declining business for WWE for a long time now, it needed addressing. The huge change in business model is a positive one that should recover business for WWE. The cheap price is going to draw more buyers, logically price matters as much as anything in selling something. The fact that this then commits users to six months of $9.99 payments means that WWE is locking in business it may have only got as a one off. The platform also gives the company the retention of people to influence - broadcast ratings will hopefully go up now that people are following the monthly pay per views on the network. The dismal 179,000 Survivor Series 2013 buy rate proved that the traditional means of business was dead. Long live the WWE Network and the revitalizing effect it's going to have on WWE's monthly mega events.
