WWE: 10 Reasons Ryback Is Right To Be Frustrated

6. Ryback Missed The Biggest Party Of The Summer...Twice

SummerSlam is seen as one the 'big four' pay-per-views on the wrestling calendar along with Survivor Series, the Royal Rumble and of course WrestleMania. It is dubbed as the biggest party of the summer and for the last few years the standard of SummerSlam has been at a very high level. We saw Sheamus defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Alberto Del Rio, Triple H and Brock Lesnar fought in a classic and a whole year later Lesnar did it again in a brilliant match against CM Punk. One pattern these two SummerSlam event showed, Ryback was missing from both of the events. Ryback may not be the best in-ring worker and is often seen as a danger to other stars, but that does not mean that they should leave Ryback completely off the card. It just doesn't make sense, the creative choose to put Ryback in various stop-start feuds which practically last a few weeks and then refuse to do anything for him to compete at SummerSlam. At that point in his career, anything would have been fine for Ryback to compete. Put yourself in Ryback's shoes, wouldn't you be frustrated if you were left off the SummerSlam card two years running? Ryback has every right to be frustrated at not being involved at such a big event, at the time the second SummerSlam event arrived he was simply bullying workers backstage. As entertaining as it was, Ryback needed to compete at the event.
