7. Punk Is Past

The Internet was convinced CM Punk would return at Wrestlemania. The Online Wrestling Community was certain that Sting would debut on Raw. Stone Cold was lacing up his boots for a big return - it was going to happen... It didn't. Perhaps the most shocking news coming out of the Raw after Wrestlemania was that there was no spectacular return or debut of a global superstar. The WWE has thrown it's weight behind the future; aside from the low-key return of RVD, the only debuts were for NXT stars Paige and Rusev. While a Punk return will always be speculated, his non-appearance adds fuel to the rumours that he is in fact done with WWE. More shocking is WWE's commitment to the current roster; Bryan was allowed to see out Raw standing tall as Champion without a pipe bomb or shattered glass in sight.
