Featured Match: Pat Patterson vs. Gerald Brisco, Evening Gown Match for the Hardcore Championship. King of the Ring 2000. After a series of misunderstandings led to Vince McMahon's Stooges- Hall of Famers Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco- dressing up as Divas to search for each other in the female locker room while briefly feuding over the Hardcore Championship- McMahon decreed that the two battle for the broken title in an Evening Gown match. Whether this was to prove a point to his lackeys, or to prove that McMahon hated his audience, we may never know. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xc85o3_kotr-2000-evening-gown-match-pat-pa_sport The match was thankfully brief, and did feature a number of traditional hardcore weapons- a 2x4, trash cans, etc.- as well as the return of the banana as a foreign object. Then Patterson looked as if he was going to deliver his signature skid-mark Stink Face to Brisco: instead, the first WWF Intercontinental Champion reached into his underwear, and pulled out a feminine hygiene product to rub in his former partner's face. Somehow, the use of a Maxi pad was not enough to secure victory for Patterson; Crash Holly entered the ring- to the biggest cheers of his life- and pinned Patterson with a trashcan shot to win the title and end the horrors.
