10 Stupidest WWE Superstar Arrests

7. Vader

vader wwe While working in Japan during the 90s, the man born Leon White reached legendary status as a performer when he adopted the persona of Big Van Vader. A great run in WCW followed before he finally made his way to the big stage of WWE in 1996, although admittedly WWE wasn't the global phenomenon it would become just two years later at the time of his arrival. During a 1997 overseas tour, Vader appeared on Good Morning Kuwait to promote an upcoming show. The big man contends that he was told the events that would transpire were a "work", and that all parties involved were aware of what was to take place. When the host, who clearly had never seen the John Stossel incident, asked Vader if wrestling was fake, the mastadon flipped over the table, grabbed him by the tie and began cursing at him. Turns out the host had no idea what Vader had planned, and Vader was arrested and convicted of assault. Luckily for Leon he was let off with a paltry fine of just $166, but you can bet the ordeal helped sell a few tickets for the tour. It's a shame it didn't help Vader's push within WWE, as he floundered terribly while under contract.
