It's at FCW, which eventually became NXT, that Langston made the impact which propelled him to the Intercontinental Championship. On May 12, 2011, Langston and Calvin Raines became the Florida Tag Team Champions. Several fights, feuds, and five counts later (callback), Langston beat Seth Rollins for the NXT Championship in a no disqualification title match. The rest, as they say, is history. Langston made his debut on December 17, 2012 where he beat the "super" out of Cena alongside AJ Lee. Fast forward about a year and he's now the Intercontinental Champion. But he never would have gotten to where he is today if he didn't gain the following and accomplish as much as he did in NXT.
