WWE: 10 Things You Didn't Know About Cesaro

4. He Can Be Seen In The Movie €˜The Wrestler€™, Playing Himself...

That€™s right; Cesaro was an extra in the 2008 Darren Aronofsky movie The Wrestler. The producers were eager for the movie to have an authentic feel and, as a result, hired lots of professional wrestlers to take part in the film. In addition to Cesaro, eagle-eyed viewers can also spot Austin Aries, R-Truth, Robbie E from The Bro-Mans, The Blue Meanie, Nigel McGuinness, Jay Lethal and Lloyd Anoa€™i, to name but a few. As far as I know, he hasn€™t appeared in any other movies or TV shows, but if you know of any RCCs (Random Cesaro Cameos) in addition to The Wrestler and his brief appearance on RAW, you might let me know in the €˜comments€™ section... Failing that, lets just crack out the Photoshop and paste a smug-looking Cesaro into the backgrounds of classic movie scenes (the smugger, the better). Anyone who can slide The Swiss Superman into Taxi Driver, Jaws or even classic musicals (Swingin€™ in the Rain, anyone?) will win my eternal love and gratitude.

I am a professional author and lifelong comic books/pro wrestling fan. I also work as a journalist as well as writing comic books (I also draw), screenplays, stage plays, songs and prose fiction. I don't generally read or reply to comments here on What Culture (too many trolls!), but if you follow my Twitter (@heyquicksilver), I'll talk to you all day long! If you are interested in reading more of my stuff, you can find it on http://quicksilverstories.weebly.com/ (my personal site, which has other wrestling/comics/pop culture stuff on it). I also write for FLiCK http://www.flickonline.co.uk/flicktion, which is the best place to read my fiction work. Oh yeah - I'm about to become a Dad for the first time, so if my stuff seems more sentimental than usual - blame it on that! Finally, I sincerely appreciate every single read I get. So if you're reading this, thank you, you've made me feel like Shakespeare for a day! (see what I mean?) Latcho Drom, - CQ
