WWE: 10 Things You Need To Know About Bray Wyatt

9. Athletic Pedigree

Bray Wyatt was a standout wrestler in high school. In 2005 he won a state championship at 275 pounds for Hernando High. Wyatt also played football, lining up at offensive guard and defensive tackle. He played two seasons of college football at Sequoias, where he was rewarded as a second team All-American. Wrestling's history has shown us that those with an athletic background prior to entering the busines stand a much better chance of succeeding. Most of the elite workers in WWE were standout athletes of some sort before breaking into wrestling. WWE is currenty working with football agencies to help steer undrafted prospects into the developmental system. Roman Reigns is a perfect example of a guy who was not quite good enough to be a big hit in the NFL, but has all the tools to become a superstar in professional wrestling. With Bray Wyatt's track record of excelling at sports on the high school and collegiate level, it will only help him withstand the rigors of wrestling, the physical requirements and the sacrifice and toll it takes on your body.
