What is the criteria for whether someone "deserves" a spot at WrestleMania? Is it his tenure with the company? His merchandise sales? Perhaps his work ethic? If you guessed option 4, that it's based on the whims of Vince McMahon, you'd be correct! And so while we cannot define "deserving", because the notion is so subjective, we have to lay down our own whimsical guidelines for this list. I scrutinized the cards of every WrestleMania, all of which I have seen many times ("with pride"). If a name jumped out at me and I found myself thinking either, "Who?" or "Why?" or "Horrible!" then I stopped for further analysis. What could have been the possible reasons for this person being at The Showcase of the Immortals? Are they valid reasons? Could a more deserving person have been in this spot? I tried not to let personal bias get too much in the way, but you can be the judge of that. This is a tricky one to call! Let's see if you agree with this list this first installment covers WrestleManias 21-29.
