WWE: 10 Ways Script & Reality Made Daniel Bryan The Perfect WrestleMania Story
7. He Doesn't Have The Look
From the very beginning, everyone predicted Bryan's failure thanks to his small frame. Billed at 5' 10" and 210 pounds, it wasn't hard to imagine why WWE may not take a shine to Bryan. It's pretty much a fact that both Vince and HHH are big proponents of the body builder look for their respective main event choices. With the exception of Michaels, Foley, and Punk, essentially every other big star of the past twenty years has had a superhuman physical quality attached to them. Whether one looks at this through the lens of storyline or reality, the idea remains the same: Bryan just doesn't have the right look. Since his match with Cena at last year's SummerSlam, fans and industry insiders alike have been using this ideology to predict why Bryan will go down in spectacular fashion. Despite this, Bryan has managed to prove them wrong every time. There's a reason why Daniel Bryan is such an important player in the contemporary WWE world, and it's chiefly because he does not look like anybody else on the roster.
I'm Andrew Hypes, and I'm aspiring to take over the world with my writing. I'm a senior at Capital University studying Journalism and Creative Writing. For the most part, I'll be writing about the WWE, but I'll try to get myself acclimated to other sections as well. For now, though, enjoy my musings on the insane world of Professional Wrestling.
