http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zF_kEtYlfBc There have been many short WrestleMania matches, particularly in the early years when squashes were prevalent in showcasing talent. Perhaps none has been more damaging and hated, however, than last year's World Heavyweight Championship match. In one corner you have Daniel Bryan, arguably the best technical wrestler in the world (never mind the company), who in over 3 years with the WWE so far has only this WrestleMania showing. In the other corner you have Sheamus, a 2-time WWE Champion, great brawler and personal favourite of WWE's Executive VP Triple H. And they were given..18 seconds. In a card that managed to find time for two mini-concerts and Brodus Clay dancing with his 'mother', these two were treated to a slap in the face in front of the watching world. To make matters worse, the previous year the two were bumped off the card entirely to make more time available for the loathsome Cole vs Lawler match (more on that later) and giving them a World title high-profile feud was going some way to correcting that. Give them over 10 minutes and you're guaranteed quality. But no - 18 seconds. You could argue that this has helped Bryan rather than hindered him in the long run, but rest assure this was never the intention.
