WWE: 10 Wrestlers You Didn’t Even Realise Are Still On The Roster

7. Yoshi Tatsu

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrRByNngr3U A longtime star in New Japan Pro Wrestling, former boxer Naofumi Yamamoto was signed to a WWE developmental deal in 2007 and assigned to FCW to learn "WWE style". Of course, "WWE style" is code for the awful in-ring work we see on a weekly basis on Raw and Smackdown and consists of punching, kicking, posing, and hitting your finish. This negated Yamamoto's natural speed and high-flying ability but hey, Vince is the millionaire so he must know something the rest of us don't. After being renamed Yoshi Tatsu, he was assigned to the ECW brand and unsuccessfully competed for the tag titles with Goldust. He served as a jobber for a number of months until being sent to the Island of Misfit Toys, otherwise known as NXT. In one of the dumber angles in recent memory, Tatsu engaged in a feud with Tyson Kidd because Kidd had broken one of Tatsu's action figures. The evil villain even refused to give back the action figure's leg and Tatsu was forced to reclaim it in a Pole Match on NXT. After losing in the NXT Tag Title tournament's first round, Tatsu essentially disappeared until only recently on NXT. In the meantime, he served as house show fodder and was a "special guest" at WWE Axxess. Amazingly enough, when he was announced as the special guest, only about 75% of the people in line walked out.
