WWE: 11 Best Ever Top Rope Moves

8. Moonsault - The Great Muta/Keiji Mutoh

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32JQISyc8js As the NWA/WCW began to challenge the WWF/E for national dominance in the early 90's, the Atlanta based promotional agreed to a talent exchange with New Japan Pro Wrestling. One of those imports was The Great Muta. With the size of a heavyweight and the speed of a light heavyweight (what NWA called cruiserweights at the time), Muta surprised American audiences with moves never seen at the time, including a backflip splash from the top rope, now known as a moonsault. Muta's impact would continue to shock the wrestling world by becoming NWA Heavyweight Champion. Dangerous to pull off, and even more dangerous if missed or botched, Muta's innovation signaled the rest of the wrestling world that it was time to step their games up if they wanted to compete on a true world stage.

7. Doomsday Device - The Road Warriors/Legion of Doom

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DolsJV-vLo Very few tag teams can legitimately claim to have done it all. Notoriously stiff in the ring, The Road Warriors, ran over every team in their path, becoming the only team in history to have held the WWF, NWA, AWA, and AJPW tag team titles. When they were ready to move on to the next arena or if they were just plain bored from the beating they were handing out, they would unleash the Doomsday Device. Animal would hoist an opponent onto his shoulders while Hawk would finish it with a clothesline from the top. While teams such as Team 3D and The Briscoes have placed their own variations on it, the LOD Doomsday Device resonates the most in wrestling history.

Roger Luna is an elitist who somehow maintains a lifestyle beyond his means in the Chicagoland/Northwest Indiana area. Following him on Twitter @TheRogerLuna is a waste of time; time that could be better used pursuing an education or maybe settling down with that nice Sally Jenkins from down the street. You're father and I aren't spring chickens anymore and it would be nice...
