WWE: 12 Careers You Won't Believe Stars Did After They Quit Wrestling

10. Tito Santana: From Bull Fighter To "Profesor Español"

Tito Santana Tito Santana was in the very first match at the very first Wrestlemania- defeating the masked Executioner by submission- and was the very first entrant in the very first Royal Rumble in 1988. Now, he's the first- and only- teacher on this list. (He is not actually the first professional wrestler to enter a non-wrestling school as a teacher; former AWA great Baron von Raschke was a substitute teacher in Minnesota when he wasn't goose-stepping around the ring, for example.) But Merced Solis- Tito's real name- has made the transition complete, teaching Spanish full-time at Eisenhower Middle School in Roxbury Township, New Jersey. He is also a coach; sadly, it's basketball he wears the sweatpants and whistle around his neck for, and not wrestling. Because full-time teaching does not pay all of the bills, Santana also owns Santana's Hair Salon in Succasunna, NJ, but those of you willing to make the drive to get a trim and a shave from El Matador should take note; it is Santana's wife who does the day-to-day operations, not the WWE Hall of Famer. He has, however, decorated the salon with plenty of mementos from his career- action figures, posters, and a replica of both the Intercontinental and Tag Team Championship- but don't expect to watch either a PPV or Raw while in the barber's chair; Santana's Hair Salon is closed Sundays and Mondays.
