WWE: 12 Dumb Superstar Name Changes That Made No Sense

11. Val Venis To The Big Valbowski

Val Venis Val Venis was certainly a good representation of the Attitude Era of the late 1990s. As a wrestling porn star, Venis definitely pushed the limits of television censorship and his name was a not-so-subtle play on his "many talents". Val even had a t-shirt at the time which read "Venis Envy", taking the name just about as far as it could go without becoming X-rated. As WWE tried to move away from the Attitude Era in 2002, Venis was rechristened The Big Valbowski, which was the name he used to give his..ahem, other part. Aside from taking the name of his undercarriage, Venis really didn't change much else about his character as was relegated to opening matches and B-show appearances. After Eric Bischoff took over Raw, Big Valbowski was renamed once again to Chief Morley and served as the boss's Chief of Staff. Venis actually managed to hang around WWE until 2009 when he was released from his contract after over 10 years with the company.
