Ron Killings started making references to Little Jimmy in 2011, an imaginary friend who at the start antagonized Killings. Killings was feuding with John Cena at the time, and Little Jimmy was a reference to Cena's legion of young fans. Out of this grew a sidekick that Killings would deal with from that point forward, becoming a comedy act that has become has become as much intertwined with the R-Truth character as rapping. It is often said that you know an act or tag line is working in wrestling when you start spotting signs quoting a signature line, and there was no shortage of Little Jimmy signs after Killings started making references to his imaginary friend in 2011.
