WWE: 12 Shocking Real-Life Incidents Wrestlers Want You To Forget

8. New Jack Gets Stab Happy

For those among you who might not have seen the original ECW or glanced at any of the independent promotions in the U.S.A., New Jack is a hardcore wrestler. In fact, Hardcore is probably not the right word for it, New Jack's matches frequently ended in bloodbaths. In the original ECW, he was known for coming out with a shopping cart full of weapons to the tune of "Natural Born Killaz" by Dr Dre and Ice Cube. And we're talking actual, proper weaponry €“ to this day, he's the only wrestler I've ever seen bring Wolverine Claws to the ring. I respect him as one of the straightest, most down-to-earth guys in the industry, but at the same time, he is literally the only wrestler I would think twice about asking to take a photograph with, because he is legitimately crazy. For those among you who know full well who New Jack is, come on. You knew he was going to be in here. New Jack is no stranger to, shall we say, controversial issues. There's the Mass Transit incident, where he bladed a 17-year-old fake wrestler so badly that blood actually spurted from his head. There's the time he was wrestling a scaffold match with Vic Grimes and threw him off while aiming for him to hit the steel turnbuckle in revenge for a previous injury. There's his match with Gypsy Joe in which he told the promoter "I wont do a comedy match, I wont do a gimmick match, I will kill him" and then there's this. In October 2004, New Jack was appearing for the Thunder Wrestling Federation, fighting William Jason Lane. During the match, he pulled out a blade from his pocket and stabbed the man a number of times. You can hear the incident in his own words in the clip above, or you can find the clip on Youtube. Be warned though, it's pretty graphic. As Jack said, the charges were dropped by Lane in exchange for being trained. Upon his release from custody, New Jack promptly bailed out of the state. Probably a wise move.
