WWE: 15 Memorable Staples Center Moments

6. No Way Out 2007 - Raw vs Smackdown

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_592PnfVy1Q No Way Out 2007 took place in February in the Staples Center. This event holds a particular place in my memory, as it was the first major WWE PPV I ever attended. Having only ever attended house shows before this, the difference in presentation was huge. Although it probably won€™t ever be remembered amongst the greatest Pay Per Views of all time, it still had its moments. Taking place squarely in the road to Wrestlemania, the main event of the show pitted all the would be Wrestlemania main eventers against each other in a tag team match. Soon to be opponents teamed up as Shawn Michaels and John Cena faced off against Batista and the Undertaker. These four huge superstars put on an entertaining tag match, during which they all attempted to co exist as partners. In the end however, the tension between Undertaker and Batista became too much for the Animal, and he dropped Undertaker with a Spine Buster. This left the Deadman all alone to receive a Sweet Chin Music and an Attitude Adjustment to send the Raw team home with the win. The lasting image from the show was Batista standing over the Undertaker with the world title held high. The undercard that night was also a mostly entertaining card. Benoit and the Hardyz beat MNM and MVP in a crowd pleasing opener. Chavo Guerrero won a sloppy but passable Cruiserweight Open. Finlay and Little Bastard beat Boogeyman and Mini Boogeyman in a comedy match. Kane beat Booker T in a good ten minute effort. London and Kendrick beat Deuce and Domino in a fine high flying match. Finally, Mr Kennedy beat Lashley by DQ. As a dark match, the fans in attendance also got to see RVD and Shelton Benjamin face off in a match that RVD won. In all, a great experience for my first live PPV. The Staples Center is an impressive place to attend, and on the night WWE almost always delivers.
