WWE: 15 Rarest Wrestling Figures Worth An Absolute Fortune

1. Kamala w/ Moon Belly - Series 7 (Hasbro) - $3000-$10,000

Figure collector or not, many wrestling fans are aware of this figure and how extremely rare it is and that it commanded the highest sold price of any wrestling figure. The Kamala Hasbro figure was released in 1993 as part of the Yellow Card Series 7 line. There was something interesting about the run of Kamala figures. Instead of his trademark moon painted on his belly, there was a yellow star. However, Kamala figures with a moon belly do exist and it is worth a lot. It is believed that no more than 24 of the Kamala moon belly figures are in existence. Many collectors claim to know of no more than 6 that are sitting in private collections, including Kamala's. However many Kamala moon belly Hasbro figures exist, they€™re all believed to be part of a run of pre-production carded samples. Did Hasbro or WWF decide to go with a yellow star instead of the moon due to legal issues, being that Kamala himself owns the rights to his gimmick? Was it a factory mistake that was never corrected such as a paint issue? Or was there a problem with the machine printing the moon and they decided to just print the stars not only on his chest but on his stomach too? Some have wondered if the change was made on purpose to create a rare carded action figure, as exclusive variations are big in the toy community. What is known is that a test run was most certainly sent out, as at least one hardcore collector has a Kamala moon belly figure mint on card with a Hasbro Standards tag sticker on the back. These stickered figures were sent out within the company so they could make notes about each particular figures run before they went out with mass production and distribution. The collector who owns this one purchased his from a former Hasbro safety engineer. Just how many Hasbro Kamala moon belly figures that are still out there are a mystery. Did the existing ones exist thanks to Hasbro employees who took them home before they were destroyed? Is it possible these figures made it to store shelves? The figure is certainly complete and the packaging is store ready and the number that are believed to be out there are not all confirmed to have come from Hasbro employees. If you are looking to pick up a Kamala moon belly figure, be wary and avoid loose figures as there are a lot of fakes out there, but then there would be since a MOC, nearly perfect, graded Kamala moon belly figure was sold at the end of 2013 by the well known figure price guide and collectors, Lee€™s Toy Review, for $6,500. Collectors claim to have seen it sold for as low as $3,000 and as much as $10,000, making the Hasbro Kamala moon belly figure easily the rarest, most expensive wrestling figure of all time.
