WWE: 15 Reasons The Undertaker Streak Ended At WrestleMania 30

2. There Was Simply No Time Left For Another Mania Match

The deciding factor in calling it a day could have been the clock. Undertaker perhaps wanted to work with Sting at Mania 31, he perhaps wanted to do the match with John Cena at Mania 32, but ultimately time conspired against him. The decision to drop the streak could have been one where he simply knew it was now or never. Maybe Undertaker never envisioned losing to Brock which is why it ended up being such a shock. Perhaps it was mid-way through the last couple of weeks when he realised he wasn't up to doing this again in another year. At that point he had a choice to make, with time up, does he drop the streak or keep his record? Aware that it would be a far more memorable moment to lose than win, he decided that he would mark his retirement from the ring with a losing effort. Father time had made its judgement it was time to leave, there was little point in taking the streak with him.
