WWE: 16 Other Wrestlers Who Are Undefeated At Wrestlemania

1. Rob Van Dam: 4-0

Rob Van Dam € Unless The Whole F€™n Show returns to World Wrestling Entertainment! (Yes, 4-0 seems very, very far off from The Undertaker's 21-0, and it is. But compare it to the unbreakable "Iron Man" streak of consecutive games played in Major League Baseball: Cal Ripken, Jr. holds the record at 2,632 games played without a day off; the next closest of active players is Prince Fielder with 505. That means Prince has to play non-stop for another 13+ years to catch up to Ripken. The difference suddenly doesn't look so bad, does it?) Rob Van Dam- Pro Wrestling Illustrated€™s €œMost Popular Wrestler€ of 2001 and 2002- is also undefeated at Wrestlemania, notching four wins to zero losses (ignoring that terribly-booked loss during the Wrestlemania 19 pre-show that saw him and Kane job to Chief Morely and Lance Storm with tons of interference by The Dudley Boyz.) A Streak vs. Streak match between Mr. PPV and the Dead Man at Wrestlemania would be an interesting one, as the two have faced each other in the past, most notably in matches for the Hardcore and Undisputed World Championships in 2001 and 2002 respectively. Van Dam€™s first Wrestlemania was Wrestlemania 18, where he defeated William Regal in the opening contest to secure RVD his first Intercontinental Championship. We won€™t mention WM19 again, and instead will leap ahead to No. 20, where RVD- with partner Booker T- defeated the teams of Garrison Cade and Mark Jindrak, The Dudley Boyz, and La Résistance in one of two Fatal Four Way matches to retain the World Tag Team Championships. Rob Van Dam would miss Wrestlemania 21, but would return at 22 to win his first Money In The Bank briefcase, outlasting Shelton Benjamin, Finlay, Bobby Lashley, Matt Hardy, and Hall of Famer Ric Flair to earn the future title shot. And at Wrestlemania 23, RVD led a team of ECW Originals- Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, and the Sandman- against The New Breed- Elijah Burke, Kevin Thorne, Marcus Cor Von, and Matt Striker- pinning the former school teacher Striker with the Five-Star Frog Splash. Rob Van Dam seems content to sit out this year€™s Wrestlemania, and- at 43 years old- is not likely to wrestle for another 18 years to break €˜Taker€™s streak. Maybe if medicinal marijuana becomes legal across the country, he€™ll be healed to the point he can make that happen€ but will he be as motivated? Probably not. Unless he returns for one-more-Wrestlemania match, RVD will have to be content being tied for second-best undefeated streak with the late-great Earthquake.
