WWE 2013 Money In the Bank Review: 5 Things We Learned

money-in-the-bank The MITB PPV is in the books, and all eyes are focused, not only on what's to come this week and the fallout from last night, but also towards the next PPV: SummerSlam. Here are 5 things we learned from this year's Money In The Bank PPV...

5. Randy Orton Wins The WWE Championship Contract

Randy-Orton In what could be argued as a Match of the Year contender, last night's main event Money in the Bank match saw Randy Orton emerge victorious and become the man with the MITB briefcase who can now challenge for the WWE Championship. This is a nice turn of events for Orton, who has been just under the main event radar for many months now, consistently putting guys over with little reward. It makes for an intriguing development moving forward; Orton is certainly deserving of a run with the title, and it will be interesting to see how he gets there. The larger issue that emerged from this main event match, however, was the full heel turn from Paul Heyman against CM Punk. As if Punk wasn't already in full-on face mode, Heyman cost Punk his shot at an unprecedented 3rd MITB win, and cemented their separation as manager and client. This undoubtedly sets us up for CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar at the upcoming SummerSlam PPV.
