The number of times WWE haven broken the aforementioned low viewership record in 2018 alone.

Much like how trends require time to truly take, WWE's decline has been steady but notable. Exceptional booking on Monday nights from late-1996 didn't show itself until a comprehensive overhaul of WCW by mid-1999.

Have the extremes this year been as much to do with 3+ years of creative neglect rather than the overtly simplistic 'Blame Baron' philosophy?
