3. Stagger The Time Off

This may come from the bleeding obvious pile, but there should be a compulsory amount of time off for every performer, whether they be main event, midcard or jobber. However, if CM Punk, Randy Orton, John Cena, Daniel Bryan and Alberto Del Rio all decided to have a couple of months at the same time, I would understand the problem. So the obvious answer to this is to stagger the time off throughout the year. Say all performers MUST have 1 PPV off as well as 6 weeks non-wrestling (including house shows) throughout the year, or 8 weeks of no wrestling with no house shows, while still being on all PPV cards if absolutely necessary (this is primarily if the WWE want to bring back a superstar for the Royal Rumble or Money in the Bank as a mystery contender). They are allowed to come and promo angles if they are needed, but are not to get into actual matches (it may be a great way to use a CM Punk during his time off). These don't have to be taken all in one go- in fact it would probably be better if it wasn't. So for example- Cena could have 2 weeks off in May, 2 weeks off in October and 2 weeks in late December. For PPVs we'll say he misses June. Now, let's say CM Punk next year has another hellacious match at Summerslam, so we'll give him 4 weeks off after that and he can miss Night of Champions. Then, perhaps he has a week off from wrestling both post-Hell in a Cell and one post-TLC to ensure that his body receives good maintenance, whilst ensuring he still is in the public imagination. But there are other things we can do to ensure that a superstar is still talked about even when he isn't wrestling.
