WWE's 12 Fails Of Christmas

8. The Miz, Alberto Del Rio & The Brooklyn Brawler Vs 3MB - Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2012

It's emblematic of WWE's December presentations that a match featuring the above talents could even be considered worthy of placement on a Pay-Per-View in the pre-Network era.

Held in Brooklyn in 2012, there was at least the justification of a novelty home-town pop for the Brawler as a downtrodden WWE stalwart, but even then it was a tepid one, and only served to highlight how unover the supposed top-level babyfaces he was tagging with were.

Taking place a month or so into a botched babyface turn for natural heel The Miz, the pre-show also fostered a contrived and unwelcome turn for Alberto Del Rio, which lead to this unannounced six-man tag match against Heath Slater's 3-Man-Band.

Already buried deep underground despite Heath's typically enthusiastic gusto in the role, the 3MB were merely tackling dummies for their opponents, who sealed the win with a Brawler Boston Crab.

However, there was no escaping the awkwardness of the real story at play, as the dreadfully misjudged turns of Miz and Del Rio showed enormous signs of failure barely out of the gate.

The two were both heels again within a year of this mess, but it took even longer before they regained ground amongst their peers.
